Mobile App Privacy Policy

SVC Co-operative Bank Limited (“the Bank”) is committed to protect the privacy and seeks to assure transparency and secrecy of its user’s data, including the data collected at the time of user availing services of the Mobile App of the Bank, downloaded from the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).

Bank is committed to protect the privacy of its users and ensures that necessary and reasonable measures to protect the confidentiality of the user information has been taken and that it shall not be held responsible for disclosure of any confidential information in accordance with the privacy commitment of its users. “Data” can be any data related to the user’s personal information either provided/ collected/ received/ possessed/ stored/ dealt in/ handled by the Bank or the data provided/ received by visiting Bank’s website or online or any data covered by not limited under this Privacy Policy.

The Bank assures that the Information will not be shared with any external organisation unless the same is necessary by any Regulatory/ RBI norms and any requirement under law/ regulations or any Government/court/other relevant authority’s directions/orders or pursuant to the terms and conditions applicable to such Information. Any Information/data may be required to be disclosed to any third party by us by an order under the law for the time being in force or in case of providing any services or user service enhancement experiences, to which the user hereby gives consent. The Bank may use User Information for the purpose of statistical analysis and for creation of data ("Statistical Information")... In addition to the information that the Bank elicits, the user is free to provide any other information or data that might be required by the Bank subject to the fact & reason that privacy and confidentiality of such data is guaranteed only to the extent of that data which the Bank directly collects from the user. This Policy is also applicable for a non-user/potential user who provides data to the Bank, by any means (through Branch/ Website), with the intention of establishing a relationship of whatsoever nature with the Bank.

The user is aware at the time of accessing the mobile application from mobile phone, or other device; the bank may collect information from that device about the browser type, location and IP address, as well as the pages user visits. Bank is not liable for the cookies generated from the tracked website pages used by the advertisers or any other third parties when user visit the Bank’s website or mobile application. By divulging any information/data to the Bank the user/potential user agrees to the terms and conditions of this Policy.

Use of User Information / Statistical Information:-

The Bank may use the User Information/data for, other service related activities along with user verification, provision of products and services, for personalization of products or services, marketing or promotion of the Bank’s financial services or related products or that of the Banks associates and affiliates; for creation of Statistical Information, statistical analysis or credit scoring, enforcement of your obligations, or such incidental purposes that will help us in providing better services enhancing your user service experience with our Bank.

Disclosures:-

The user hereby provides express & implied consent for disclosure of his/her information/data in the following circumstance mentioned but will not be limited to such activity or circumstances, while providing better services:-

• The User consents and confirms that the Bank shall not be held liable from any liability/loss or damage in case any such data/ information/ Statistical Information is leaked or stolen which was disclosure by the User in regular course of his/her association with the Bank for the services availed/to be availed, in spite of all the precautions and due diligence and system checks done by the Bank.
• The User agrees and consents that the Bank may have to disclose the User’s data/Information, to third parties affiliated with the Bank or providing various services directly/indirectly to the Bank and its users, , for the following reasons:- -
• The user understand that it may be necessary for the Bank to disclose the users’ information to one or more of its agents and contractors and sub-contractors.

• To enforce the Terms and Conditions of the products or services.
• To protect or defend Banks rights, interests and property or that of its associates and affiliates, or that of Banks Affiliate's employees, consultants etc.
• For fraud prevention purposes.

• As permitted or required by law.
• The Bank may disclose the User’s data/ Information to third parties for the following reasons mentioned but not limited to, • For participation in any telecommunication or electronic clearing network.
• For credit rating by a credit rating agency.
• For facilitating joint product promotion campaigns.
• For the purposes of credit reporting, verification and risk management to/ with clearing house centres or credit information bureau or any others authorities like CICS (User Information Control System) etc..
• For availing of the support services from third parties e.g. collecting subscription fees, and notifying or contacting the user regarding any problem with, or the expiration of, any services availed by you.
• To develop and improve the Bank’s services and notify the user about any changes or additions to its services.

Security:-

 The User is aware that the Bank has taken reasonable measures to protect security and confidentiality of the User Data/Information and its transmission through the World Wide Web/Mobile App.
 The User hereby confirms that the Terms and Conditions mentioned herein and on SVC Website have been understood and read, while using this App including the instructions stated therein in respect of security and confidentiality of user’s Log-in and Password.
 The bank ensures that all information provided by the User to the Bank is securely stored on Banks secure servers. The user is aware that the Bank ensures that all payment transactions are secure.
 The User hereby understands that the Bank hereby will ensure to protect the sensitive data/ Information provided by the user and will exercise optimum due-diligence and care will handling such data/ Information but cannot guarantee absolute security in case of any unforeseen circumstances and events beyond the Bank’s capacity to contemplate the same..
The user understands that once the Bank receives the data/ Information, it will follow strict procedures and security features to prevent any unauthorized access or any security breaches, to the optimum capacity of the Bank. The information provided by you is stored on Banks secure servers. All the payment transactions will be similarly secure. The user understands that the Bank has provided the user (or where user has chosen) a user name, pass code and memorable word enabling access to the Bank’s Site is confidential, and the user is solely responsible to not share any such user name, pass code and memorable word.
 Changes To Banks Privacy Policy

Any information that is freely available or accessible in public domain or furnished under the right to Information Act, 2005 or any law for the time being in force shall not be regarded as data or information for the purpose of this and the bank shall not be responsible for the same.

The user hereby agrees to abide by the Bank's Terms and Conditions and rules in force and the changes thereto in Terms and Conditions from time to time relating to any data/information communicated/provided/made available to the Bank.
Any further changes to Bank’s Privacy Policy in the future will be posted on this page. It is implied that the user is aware and has read and understood all the Terms & Conditions issued by SVC Bank on their notice board/ e-mail/ page/ website, existing and any further additions or amendments made in the Terms & Conditions.
