He was the CEO of the exclusive advisors to Swiss Technology Venture Capital Fund sponsored by the Swiss Government. He was President of TDICI Ltd. now known as ICICI Venture Funds Management Co. Ltd. As part of his responsibilities he looked after the debt portfolio in ICICI Ltd. He was a part of a unique team within ICICI (1977-85) which sought to identify unmet demand in the Indian economy through project promotion by encouraging new private sector initiatives. He also looked after the Program for Advancement of Commercial Technology (PACT) sponsored by the USAID for development of innovative products/processes jointly by Indian and US companies.
